Mr. Abdelhak Saihi, Stresses the Need to Address Shortcomings and Define Responsibilities to Strengthen Public Social Security Services for Citizens

As part of the regular monitoring of the activities of the central administration, the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Mr. Abdelhak Saihi, chaired, on Thursday, 18 June 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, a coordination meeting bringing together senior officials of the central administration. The meeting was devoted to assessing the activity report for the period from 24 May to 17 June of the current year, as well as monitoring the implementation of instructions and directives issued during previous meetings.
During the meeting, the Minister heard presentations by the heads of the various central structures on the progress made in implementing planned programmes and activities, as well as the main concerns identified and the work priorities for the coming period.
On this occasion, the Minister stressed the need to continue efforts aimed at improving performance and raising the quality of public services to the required level of efficiency, by intensifying awareness and information activities and strengthening community outreach, thereby bringing the administration closer to citizens and ensuring an effective and timely response to their concerns.
He also emphasised the importance of ensuring serious and continuous follow-up of the various cases and matters submitted, while ensuring that they are processed within appropriate timeframes and strengthening coordination among the different structures and services, in order to ensure consistency in action and the effectiveness of field interventions.
In the same context, the Minister called for establishing a culture of vigilance and ensuring continuous monitoring of the activities of bodies and institutions under the Ministry’s supervision, in order to identify any shortcomings and deficiencies and take the necessary corrective measures in a timely manner, while assessing their performance in a way that contributes to improving the quality of services provided to users.
He also stressed the need to ensure the examination and processing of appeals submitted by young people who were unable to benefit from the unemployment benefit through the “Inssat” digital platform made available to them, while continuing efforts to inform service users of their rights and obligations and to uphold the principles of transparency and fairness in addressing their concerns.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister reaffirmed the need to continue implementing directives relating to the modernisation of the administration, the widespread adoption of digitalisation and the simplification of administrative procedures, the rationalisation of expenditure and the strengthening of governance, thereby contributing to improving the sector’s performance and the quality of public services provided to citizens.
