Mr. Mohamed HATTAB assumed his duties today, Wednesday, 2 September 2026, as Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, succeeding Mr. Abdelhak Saihi, in the presence of the sector’s executives and officials.

On this occasion, the Minister expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for the confidence placed in him by entrusting him with this responsibility. He affirmed his determination to live up to this confidence and to devote, alongside the sector’s executives and staff, all his efforts to serving citizens and addressing their concerns, within a vision based on effectiveness, fairness and the improvement of the quality of public services.

Mr. Mohamed HATTAB also called on the sector’s executives to pursue their efforts in a spirit of teamwork, strengthen coordination and field work, and demonstrate vigilance and commitment, in order to ensure that citizens’ concerns are addressed in the best possible manner, without discrimination and with full transparency and responsibility. He further stressed the importance of improving the performance of the sector’s various structures and enhancing the quality of its services.

The Minister stressed that the next phase requires the concerted efforts of all stakeholders to strengthen the effectiveness of employment policies, protect social rights and improve the performance of the social security system, thereby responding to citizens’ aspirations and strengthening confidence in public services.

Concluding his remarks, the Minister renewed his call on all executives and staff of the sector to engage in a collective work dynamic grounded in responsibility and commitment, with citizen service placed at the heart of all efforts and initiatives.
